The Sound X in UAE by Huawei

                  

Huawei is bringing the newest addition to its ecosystem to the Gulf region, with the launch of the Sound X speaker within the UAE.

Co-engineered with Devialet, a French maker of high-end speaker systems, the Sound X definitely looks the part albeit a touch an excessive amount of like Apple's HomePod with its fabric mesh wraparound and a LED unit on top that gives gesture controls.

Huawei claims during a statement that it's taking a somewhat different path to the competition with the Sound X, in how it tries to marry performance with design.

The Sound X comes with 3.5-inch dual subwoofers packed into a compact form and uses Devialet‘s patented signal-processing SAM (Speaker Active Matching) technology, and Push-Push symmetrical structure.

This combination, as claimed, gives you excellent bass while minimizing vibrations, ensuring that the Sound X doesn't start distorting once you crank that volume up.

It must be noted that there's no Google Assistant or Alexa on the Sound X, because of the US sanctions on Huawei, then essentially this is often not a sensible speaker as of now.

That being said it's a few of cool tricks, like NFC tech that allows you to meet up your (Huawei) phone to the speaker with just a faucet and swap between the 2 seamlessly when taking note of audio content and getting to calls.

Huawei also claims that the speaker uses a number of its more advanced audio tech to detect its location during a room and is in a position to regulate the sound profile accordingly.

The Sound X is out there in Black starting today for AED 1,299 on Huawei e-shop, experience stores and across select retailers within the UAE. The Chinese major is additionally offering a 3 month VIP subscription to Huawei Music on purchase.
